Hello Loon

I made a lovely soup yesterday (no modesty, me!) - butterbean, bacon and leek. It was vair yummy. Today's soup is lentil and carrot, with a hint of cumin and chilli.

tonights is known as veggie chicken in it makes you feel better. The irony is that my ex (ugh...hate saying that) made it for me when I was ill...and it's all I ever want if I'm feeling low and sad and miserable. I need to get bread though. Although I might just make some instead.

<wipes blackboard clean and writes this evening's menu>

Spicy lentil and carrot soup
Slow-roasted garlic and lemon chicken with potatoes and parsnips

Maybe some chilled SB to go with that?

Just a pick up drink please

Actually I think I just need a good night's sleep. It's going to be an early one tonight.

Oh yes please. Just stick a straw in the bottle. Work was a tad hectic today, I am not sure I could keep up that pace for more than I day. Leftover sun dried tomato risotto here and a big flump on the sofa. I have also chucked some stuff in a bag for this conference. Roll on 4 tomorrow when I head for the airport.

You'll get through this Mima, and if you can stay friends it will be a lot easier. Breaking up is crap

Torch is starting off from about half a mile up the road tomorrow so I think I will get up at silly o'clock and go and see it again.

just a drink here please

another day in the pool trying to get to grips with butterfly. or more specifically, not drowning and flailing both arms at the same time

decided if it's piddling with rain all the time might as well go swimming

most miffed I've had to move a lot of plants back into the greenhouse to avoid them drowning. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Practically afternoon for me. I have been to see the Torch off on its travels. It started today about half a mile away from my house so couldn't miss seeing it again. Can't believe how touching it is, I had a leaky eye at one point, beautiful day, my home patch, bagpipes in the distance, the torchbearers looking so happy .... and a very special flame.

morning all...bit of a sore head this morning...the final cocktail last night maybe wasn't such a good idea. I'm making bacon and egg bagels in a min, anyone want one? With tea *adds more cups to the table*

Is anyone awake?

17/06/2012 at 10:24

Cricket ..... would almost rather be working

Car to car wash, alarm clock bought, lil cardi bought, quick trundle round Sainsburys, car fed with diesel. Need to finish packing & do a quick clean and tidy round.

Anyone in?

Is there a gorgeous barmaid to serve me a pint of real ale?  I could murder one (and more).  Just completed the uni pick up run.

17/06/2012 at 17:11
You could murder a barmaid or two?!! No wonder we're all hiding from you RE. Now if you put that machete down I will fetch a pint of Doom Bar.
