cauliflower / macaroni cheese is one of my signature dishes

I don't puree the cauli though, it's just a sort of cross between the two things

alternatively I've been known to put eggs (scrambled) in macaroni cheese, can make it a bit greasy though, I've had complaints

or peas, to avoid the "everything white" effect

but basically, anything whatsoever served with cheese sauce and grilled cheese topping is good

I put leeks & mushrooms in mine if they're about. Must try the cauli option.

I'm in Zomerzet. . Its chilly and I haven't brought enough cold weather clothes.. Its shop or shiver time.

hmm, tricky decision

Not really, I love a look round the shops and whinge like mad when I am cold. We're planning a walk along Dunster beach late morning with lunch at the beach cafe. There is a large hairy terrier type thing which loves the seaside.

Have a lovely day

Thanks USB, will certainly try.

You have to have peas with macaroni cheese.

And yes, cheese sauce and grilled cheese is a slice of heaven, and I also put leeks in mine b ut not mushrooms as 50% of Foxys would be unhappy (fussy beggers)

Enjoy the shopping TP, one has runned and refuelled and is now doing faffy things with varnish to disguise runners manky feet ready for strappy shoes as opposed to trainers!

Ditto comments about cheese, mushrooms, leeks and pasta combos - yum.

Been down to Brighton in the rain to watch our niece play for Norwich City under-16s. Good catch-up with my baby brother too. Am now having a wee rest before cooking dinner for the guests we have this evening.

Foxy, enjoy your posh do! TP, happy shopping

<leaves dishes of nibbles for rugby viewers>

Adds still-warm carrot cupcakes to the selection.....

Weather warmed up and the sun came out so no jumper shopping needed. Lovely walk on the beach to work up an appetite for lunch. Quick run into town for essentials only as it started raining very hard.

Well done STs niece. I think i met her at one of your parties when she was about 12 or so.

I shall pass on the nibbles as I am still stuffed from a late lunch .... egg and chips in a beach cafe .... delish

A Guinness please, parched I am.

<pours Guinness, makes little shamrock in creamy top>

Well, it is ST Patrick's Day and as a fellow Celtic, I feel I should make the effort

Not a fan of Guiness but I could fancy a G&T if my arm was twisted. Do you get oirish gin?

Fellow Celt. Damn autocorrect.
