In terms of experience it's hard for anyone to get close to Tom. I guess he's less current than some acts but the ones so far don't seem very R&B (in the modern sense rather than Dr Feelgood) or hip hop.

Why has WIlliam borrowed his haircut from the guy off the IT Crowd?

Watched this today with my 8 year old. So refreshing to see normal people with real talent. No-one was shown just to take the mickey out of them. The last girl was amazing. Real vocal control.

I only saw a bit of it but really liked it. I enjoyed the US version as well (purely for the talent rather than the judges).

I've been catching up on BGT and I really like David Walliams. The welsh choir were utterly amazing.

I'm also thinking how you would play it as a judge if you weren't popular with the contestants - would you then start turning around on weaker acts as you knew if you stuck to the best ones you knew someone else would and you'd end up short of acts? I missed the first ten minutes, so maybe this was explained
