GBM - Not around for sat run but will join you at 4 villages.
Entered 4 Villages.
I've entered too!
Saturday long-ish run, 17 miles. 8.30 at Rose Hill but not a MW run. All on road probably head down Strines Road to New Mills then make it up from there.

This Thursdays 'GBMs Track 10k' might not happen due to illness/mard-arseness. (Not that anyone was actually going to join me) I've had some sort of virus since last Thursday and so my sessions since then haven't been great. Thursdays 5 mile tempo was ended after 1.5 miles, Saturdays long run was shorter and slower than it was supposed to be and last nights track session was aborted halfway. I was hoping it would have cleared up by now but i'm actually feeling worse today. No need to panic yet though as Amsterdam is 19 days away and surely i will be feeling ok by then! He-He! (Nervous giggle!)
GBM - I thought it was the chips that did for you last night at track!
SW - I don't think we were meant to eat them, I thought they were going into the goody bags!!
SW--It was the chips that kept me going for the first half.
Go on then ... I'm entered for Four Villages. It always seems like a good idea at this time of year. Then after Xmas full of cold and mince pies it doesn't look so clever. It was blowing a hurricane last year.
PPP--I've been saying that to everyone for years!
I'm feeling slightly better today so i think i will have a bash at a track 10k tonight. I will start off at a slightly slower pace, see how i feel then pick it up if i can. All welcome, 25 laps of the track will be fun!
Will join you for a few as my legs feel fine, obviously didn't try hard enough on Sunday!!
Jonah8--Ok see you later. I'm getting there for 6.30 ish and starting the 10k at 7pm. Should be done by 8.45.
Am thinking of going across to Chester to watch NI win on Sunday and Eric get under 3:30!.
1) Drive across with bikes and cycle part of course, then drive home
2) Get train from Picaddilly, watch NI win and then cycle back to Stockport (45 miles)
Anyone else interested?
PPP - You Knob!!!!
If the last sentence said "Is anyone else interested in joining me" would your small Southern arty, farty brain have understood that?
I like the idea of watching NI win Chester but I have to defend my title at the big race of the day Congleton Half on the same morning .
PPP - a couple of years ago I did stop for a lie down at Four Villages near 11 miles and only just stumbled down to the finish. But this year faced my demons there and ran 73. As ever I'll roll the dice on the day. If you go out hard, blowing up is just one possibility - ask the chaffinch.
But it's great you're getting a decent team out for 4V.
Proud moment at the track earlier as, for the first time ever, i won a race! Details such as 'who i beat' and' how many entered the race' aren't important as you can only beat who turns up!
Poacher--Thanks for being my pacemaker for the first 5k and for another mile later on.
And to everyone i beat--Tough luck losers!!! Sorry, i'm a bad winner!
