TB- I'll be in there around 8ish.

Good session last night and yes GBM was flying, upping it up to 4 miles next week.

J8 - See you later. If its not your 50th do, does that mean we have to cancel the stripper ?  If we do cancel and then you change your mind, TB may be able to step in.

FOAR-only to an appreciative audience

J8-in fact, everyone seemed to be running hard last night in your group, think JMC looked be a bit worried. I did 1 mile last night.

09/11/2012 at 14:34

JMC had better be worried after all the abuse he gives out.

I am in much better shape than when I did sub 60 at S10 last year, and there are still 2 months until the 4V.  And SARQ will be close too if he loses the middle age spread .  GBM is definitely a threat as will be RC.  And BT if he gets his pacing right.  Who knows, if J8 manages to add a faster pace to his arsenal then he has the stamina...and of course RB and PPP will probably beat him too.

Bring it on, the more the merrier as far as I'm concerned

BHB-you forgot Eric

TB, I was referring to the people running 4V and ES isn't on the list.

If anyone else is running 4V and I didn't mention you then that it because you are not good enough, although perhaps Poacher has an outside change.  I think that just leaves you TB and FOAR as not being a threat!

GBM-we'll be at Disley on Sunday-at least you have 2 sort of friends!! (i'll try and bring some cake, too!)

Thanks, RB, for plugging Burnage Parkrun.  Please come on down and help out if you can.  That would be great.

Minnie6--Ok! I was going to cancel due to lack of interest/work but i will cancel the cancellation. I will start a list!

2nd Parkrun back since being injured this morning at Burnage. Painful calf, a stitch and a crap time. It's good to be back

MTBB--Well done!  I thought i was going to win Woodbank PR this morning. I got there late then had to go for a poo so only had one lap of the track as a warm up. So i decided i would ease into it early on then pick it up as the race went on. Despite this plan i found myself in 4th place entering Vernon Park and the 3 in front of me didn't look anything special so i spent the rest of the first lap preparing speeches and 'My first race win ever' race report. At halfway i was in 2nd, about 5 metres behind the leader and the daft sod kicked for home. I kept my pace steady and chuckled to myself at his stupid tactics and waited for him to blow up. But the bastard didn't, unlike me after the second climb! Finished in 19.17 which was quicker than it felt. Park runs are stupid and i hate them!

10/11/2012 at 12:11

MTBB & GBM - Congrats on your parkruns!

I also did one (Wythenshawe) - lovely morning for it, and a little firmer underfoot than 4 weeks ago, but I was no quicker (about 24:30)
I have always known that I am not really a "morning person" and have decided to give up parkruns as a bad job - although I will first confirm my theory by running a solo 5k time-trial (at a reasonable hour of the day) within the next few weeks...

10/11/2012 at 12:16

Daz--Well done to you too! I couldn't agree more about trying to run fast at 9am. My body simply won't allow it!

Kwaka--Evening parks runs please!!

10/11/2012 at 13:34

Xmas Day & NY Day they are starting at 10:00am at South Manchester. So you can have a lie in!

10/11/2012 at 15:43

J8-thank you for the invite last night, your evening was sooooooooooo much better than the one which was planned for tonight but has to be cancelled because GBM has no friends.

GBM-well done on coming second-again.

BHB-it might be a miracle if either FOAR or myself came ahead of you, but on the day you never know what's going to happen, it could be that you fall at the start and everyone tramples over you, especially if you get tripped.

10/11/2012 at 15:44

MTBB-welcome back.
