TB- Great effort,well done.

I noticed on Monday how well you were running, just the opposite to me.

21/11/2012 at 08:15

TB - I reckon thats 5 secs quicker than I can run 100m even if you discount the effects of extra tache air resistance.

21/11/2012 at 08:17

TB - were you chasing a shapely female?

21/11/2012 at 08:25

TB--Thats very quick, well done. Now give Eric his stopwatch back!

21/11/2012 at 11:55

SW-enough of me, apart from you, are there any other shapely females  what about this wedding?

GBM-i'd felt awful for a week or two, didn't really feel like doing it, the first 50 metres felt sh*te and then, you know how it is, i broke sub 13

Eric-thanks for the loan of your watch

JMC-i was considering making a donation IF, you removed your photo off the thread, some people will have nightmares for years to come, in fact i think i had one last night, i've literally just got up.

Hey TB, that's better than my WAVA.  Where did you find a WAVA table for these distances?  I haven't seen any that go below a mile.  I don't think I could get a WAVA like that for middle distances, so maybe a shorter distance could be possible.

Nonetheless a 100m time of 12.94 at your age (whatever that is) is pretty good - what is the Harriers age record?  Did you need a trip to the Doctors after?

21/11/2012 at 20:49

BHB-V60-i googled WAVA

21/11/2012 at 22:32

TB--You're only 1.2 seconds outside the world record for your age! Did you run it on part of the Village Bakery course?

21/11/2012 at 23:41

That old chestnut , even my slowest run at 14.22 is not bad, JP, the sprint coach did the timing on his ipad tablet, which shows to 100th of a second, it's 200metres  on Monday, should be fun, 2 years ago, before injury, i was doing 28 secs. which is quite handy , can't wait to get 100% fit.

22/11/2012 at 06:33

Eventually got my ECG results yesterday, only been waiting since Sept 19th.

I've got a heart murmur and a large Septum,. back for more tests!!!!!!

J8- OMG! I hope that is not something to worry about. Fingers x'ed for you.

TB - wow! that is impressive, even if it was on a travelator! BTW that wasn't an Ipad Tablet, it was the new Ipad mini, it is just in JP's hands.... well, it's a scale issue.

J8 - Be careful & take it easy.

The Trotters are putting on an end of fundraising celebration event or 'closing ceremony' so to speak at Marple Cricket Club on Saturday 12th January to mark the end of the amazing fundraising efforts for The Christie and to show appreciation & thank people for their generosity and support.

The evening will involve team quizes and games to entertain everyone, the bar will most definitely be open and we'll end the night with some music and dancing.

There will be no further requests for donations on the night but if you would like to pop a fiver in the box on the way in, this will cover the costs of the night (except the bar tab!) and any left overs will obviously go into the fundraising pool.

It would be great if you could come and so to keep track of numbers please can you confirm whether you and if you have one, your OH are able to make it.

I will start a list! (I just hope this is more successful than one of GBM's!)

Is anyone else thinking about doing the Ribble Valley 10k? it is on 30/12/12

A few of us did it last year and it attracts a great field (apart from us). Undulating but fast and a good excuse to have a few lighter days.

www.ribblevalley10k.org.uk/

not sure I can be bothered to get up there on my own but if anyone else is up for it...?

BHB, be a good warm up for the 4 vills..

J8-a fair few GOOD long distance runners can acquire this condition, at least Eric and GBM won't have this problem , let's hope it's sorted soon, was it NHS or private, as NHS seem to be very good nowadays, Wythenshawe, seem to be the specialist in this field in the North.

PPP re. JP

GBM-unfortunately 1.2 secs. difference is a lifetime in sprinting, it sounds good but they'll be thousands ahead of me, i'm looking at doing the Masters championships in May i think, if my body doesn't fall apart.

JS-i'm enlisting you on my next fund raising  and yes, i've contributed. How's the injury/condition?

TB - I don't know if I've misunderstood you or if you've misunderstood me, the purpose of the event is not an attempt to ask for more donations for the fundraising campaign as everyone has been so generous already, it's simply an excuse for a piss up, to thank everyone, and to hand over the whopper of a cheque to The Christie and mark the end of a tough 18 months. The suggested £5 is just to cover the cost of the night so the whole fundraising amount can go to The Christie.

Re injuries/probs, slowly getting better thanks but it's gonna be a loooong road back. Well done on the speedy 100's.

J8, I guess the usual things like trying to reduce blood pressure, alcohol and salt intake are what you should be doing until results are back.  Fingers crossed for you.

Are you in BUPA - you would probably get seen within a few days.  And what made you get tested in the first place?

22/11/2012 at 14:14

SARQ, may be up for LSR on Sunday...but LSR to me is 7:30 m/m not faster.  I'll be doing 16 miles or so.  Would prefer a bit later than 0800, but if that's all that works for you and maybe PPP then OK.

I also won't be doing a parkrun on Saturday, so PPP you have no excuse to avoid Burnage (and you had better beat my time after the age related stick you have been giving me).

JS, what or who are The Trotters?
