M says he is doing Mickledon Straddle as last race before he goes under the knife with his knee. I needless to say will not and will be sticking to tarmac.
Good to see Jenny Knass' name in yesterday's AW in the list of top ranked UK women over marathon distance in 2012. What a comeback.
kwaka - if you get really stuck give me a shout and i might be able tohelp out..how far is it?
I was working behind the bar in the sports club (Disley) last night and saw one of the Stockport Harriers dressed in what I can only describe as a blue funnel - what on earth was he supposed to be, when he danced I thought he had epilepsy??!
Also the cute boy dressed as George Michael - does he live locally?
There seemed to be a lot of folk with short hair and check shirts on too, lumberjacks or wannabe lesbians?
You guys sure know how to party - ciao.
Paul (I know who you really are!) --I was either The Shard or a blue cone!!!! I will take the epilepsy comment as a compliment! The folk with short hair and check shirts on started off as lumberjacks but turned into lesbians when JMC turned up.
NI- Rylan! I love Rylan!
nice dry day on Friday for the solstice, bit wet underfoot and claggy on the tops, but whizzed round the 5 Trigs in new PB of 5:03
Eric--I'm out tonight but if i surface in time tomorrow then i will be there. Don't wait for me though.
Being a miserable grumpy old man now who cant run I am not on here much lately as you as possibly thankful for but I would value comment about the following.
I think one of my options will be to let a doctor fiddle about inside my knee and 'tidy up' the damaged bits. However I am hearing more negative stories about the outcomes, and how the doctors think being able to walk is a good result, being able to run is not considered normal by most doctors.I would like to hear off people or off people you know about who have had knee surgery and got back running.brian1312 at tiscali.co.uk or 07905100710 or I buy you a pint and revert to old fashioned talking.
Hope you all have a great christmas and get out on some good runs, heard eric talking about grindleford reccee, everyone should at least do the reccee at least once.
SARQ..I will dig out what I bought today but I remember how it works. The power cable unplugs from the charging cradle..it is a serial end though, so you need a serial port on your pc to hook it up..i didnt have one but you can get adaptors very cheap on amazon..or somewhere..I never got it to work, but i am not the best with computers and technology
