Anyone got a four villages or brass monkey place going for tomorrow? Am in red hot racing form. Fresh as a Lesser Black Back

Jonah. Didn't want to text you late. Saw 8 waxwing today by llama farm in new mills and three twitchers looking for a red crested pochard and a water rail down mouseley bottom.

TB - you were right about something The Hebden went ahead smoothly - fantastic event - great venue, awesome checkpoint food (I fueled myself with 3 different types of cake but there was loads of other stuff too) - similar distance (22M) to Grindleford Gallop, but rougher underfoot and more climbing (4600ft), so I was very pleased to get round in 4:57 - it was a bit chilly/breezy/murky at times, but in general the covering of snow was actually more of a help than a hinderance

Delih. Did 16 on there yesterday perfect for running of to work now

Well done Daz - sounds tough but glad you enjoyed it.

DeliH - MWW had a light layer of snow yesterday morning. It's fine for easy running but I tried to do a session on there and struggled. I would recommend trail shoes.

DAZ-well done, did Hebden a few years ago, off for a road run

Don't have trail shoes so it was a slippy one, will invest in some ASAP! Did 10 miles, felt like much more!

JMC-BHB-BT- thanks for the run. Went much quicker than normal thanks to the interesting route, the company and some enjoyable scenery.

hi all,

Just to let you know the track will be closed until further notice please let as many users you know.

Please tell everyone not to attempt to train on the track as we dont want the snow compressing on the track making it harder to thaw when it does start to melt.

Yeah I agree with TB's earlier point.

This was the early route on Sunday.  2 laps of the park to allow Stuart to rest his foot / dog after one.

Well done DTS - that sounds like a good run - would be even more exciting today.

GBM - M says can you let him have your email address, please ? You can inbox me on here I think. Hes been trying to text you (re printing ) but thinks you must have changed numbers.

Cheers.

Gutted re track being closed - I was looking forward to my usual drive over Holme Moss/ Woodhead tonight.

SW--Done!

I'm off out for a run shortly. I will head over to the track to see how bad it is. Most of the roads and pavements round here don't seem too bad.

21/01/2013 at 20:07

Track inspection report!   Its covered in snow!

Its the crunchy type of snow though so i didn't slip at all. I did 3 x 1 mile and tried to compress as much of the snow as possible so that it would melt quicker.

SARQ - did the leads ever turn up?

22/01/2013 at 10:15

ES-want it rolled, not flattened

Oh, yes, the saga of the leads, what's happening?????

22/01/2013 at 11:12

Clairster, yes everyone must be enthralled about the leads saga.

And yes, the leads turned up thank you very much.

Tried to get them working on a mac but gave up after several hours, it does work on a PC though running Vista. I think he may end up ugrading so as soon as he does I'll get it back to you. I'll update everyone For the final installment to keep this thread as exciting as our Garmin story.
