M's mum is to blame for porky badgers. They get peanut butter sandwiches every night at her house.

Porky Badgers - sounds like a Findus ready meal.

J8 - Is it 8am Saturday ?

BB-yea, right, i couldn't possibly mention any names, suffice to say, you're not one of them . A neighbour of my dad's, feeds 2 foxes every night with ham shanks, they apparently take them out of her hand, she'll be moaning when they take a finger.

NI - I just got a message to say that your delivery from Puma failed stating "couldn't get access". I've asked them to send it to Eric's house. Hope that's ok...as it's replacement for prizes won at Stockport 10.

SW - how is M doing with his knee recovery

20/02/2013 at 21:52
PG - that's fine with me thanks.

ES- hope you're ok with that?

Bloody elite athletes.  They get free entries, great prizes and then when they're not the right size use the race sponsor to run around getting prizes that fit and use the Race Director to act as a courier service.

Thanks ES - can you take it to the track on Monday please (if it's arrived by then)? If I'm not there in person I'll get my agent to collect it from you.

21/02/2013 at 08:45

good grief, now NI has an agent, I thought James Bond was a fictional character

Track tonight anyone?

22/02/2013 at 08:37

TST - he is doing okay  - hobbling around and not very nimble up and down stairs. He saw physio on Monday and goes back to see surgeon next month and I guess he will tell him when he can start running again. Swelling has not gone completely yet and he cannot kneel down yet either. Bonus for me is he gets my dinner ready on a night when I am out running (Findus porky badgers) and he is able to do lots of ironing.Result.

I'll take that as a no then.

Anyone doing a longish run on Sunday (15 miles)?

Am doing National XC on Saturday and will be back quite late so would be looking to run at about 10 or possibly 4/5 ish

22/02/2013 at 09:10

4-5am a bit early for me JMC but there might be a few of us running at 8.30am from Boars Head - approx 2 hours hills but we could include a bit of MWW to make you feel at home.

I'll be at the National too.  It's looking like it will be wet and freezing cold so whether I actually run may depend on the mini-Bobs and Mrs Bob finding shelter.

22/02/2013 at 09:34

SW - I am on the list to get my knee cleaned up, sometime April the secretary thinks, so hopefully M will be running and putting my fears to rest.

22/02/2013 at 09:55

JMC- J Lawton is looking for someone to run with on Sunday, she is at the Nationals too.

BHB- Was just about to leave you a message yesterday re track, then the boss spoiled my plans, had to drop her off and pick her up from a "do" in town.

* Saturday run*

8am Rose Hill station doing 24miles and we'll do are best to stay off the Middlewood way

22/02/2013 at 10:10

BHB- I nearly replied to you last night as I was feeling sorry for you.

I am wondering whether the horsemeat scandal is why all you carnivores are running better whereas I am still rubbish?

Jonah, Can't make sat as I have a chest infection. Gutted, was looking forward to it.

Thanks for your concern Morticia.  Ended up doing a hill session with one of the groups, but only knew FOAR.

JMC, could meet at Tiviot like last time if you want or Mersey path somewhere.  I do need to be home no later than 12 so an out and back of about 12 miles total would be about right for me (allowing for time to get to/ back from meeting place).  Anyone else?
