TST - he is doing okay  - hobbling around and not very nimble up and down stairs. He saw physio on Monday and goes back to see surgeon next month and I guess he will tell him when he can start running again. Swelling has not gone completely yet and he cannot kneel down yet either. Bonus for me is he gets my dinner ready on a night when I am out running (Findus porky badgers) and he is able to do lots of ironing.Result.

I'll take that as a no then.

Anyone doing a longish run on Sunday (15 miles)?

Am doing National XC on Saturday and will be back quite late so would be looking to run at about 10 or possibly 4/5 ish

22/02/2013 at 09:10

4-5am a bit early for me JMC but there might be a few of us running at 8.30am from Boars Head - approx 2 hours hills but we could include a bit of MWW to make you feel at home.

I'll be at the National too.  It's looking like it will be wet and freezing cold so whether I actually run may depend on the mini-Bobs and Mrs Bob finding shelter.

SW - I am on the list to get my knee cleaned up, sometime April the secretary thinks, so hopefully M will be running and putting my fears to rest.

JMC- J Lawton is looking for someone to run with on Sunday, she is at the Nationals too.

BHB- Was just about to leave you a message yesterday re track, then the boss spoiled my plans, had to drop her off and pick her up from a "do" in town.

* Saturday run*

8am Rose Hill station doing 24miles and we'll do are best to stay off the Middlewood way

BHB- I nearly replied to you last night as I was feeling sorry for you.

I am wondering whether the horsemeat scandal is why all you carnivores are running better whereas I am still rubbish?

Jonah, Can't make sat as I have a chest infection. Gutted, was looking forward to it.

Thanks for your concern Morticia.  Ended up doing a hill session with one of the groups, but only knew FOAR.

JMC, could meet at Tiviot like last time if you want or Mersey path somewhere.  I do need to be home no later than 12 so an out and back of about 12 miles total would be about right for me (allowing for time to get to/ back from meeting place).  Anyone else?

RC- Sorry to hear that, get well soon

GBM- I hope you can remember the route

22/02/2013 at 13:11

BHB - Apologies, I didn't reply as I assumed you were seeking speedier people running on the track.

RC - Get well soon.

J8/RC -  See you tomorrow.

22/02/2013 at 14:44

BHB--I was working late and didnt see your message until late last night, so shut up moaning!

Jonah--We can make it up as we go!

RC--Get well soon.

FOAR--I can pick you up at 7.50 if you want?

22/02/2013 at 15:07

GBM, as Foxy said I was directing my message to the speedier people, not you!

GBM-Did my 20 miler yesterday, hands nearly got frost bite-wrap up, it may be cold.

SW-pass on my regards, how are the wedding plans going? I've been advised to stay away from the track for a few weeks, as i picked up a sprained ankle, and the bends won't help but it's ok, if i run in a straight line.

TST-so that's good news, how is Sue?

22/02/2013 at 17:32
GBM - Yes please. If route is 24 miles from Rose Hill then no need to tag on any extra by running there.
23/02/2013 at 13:35
Good run today, nice to run some new places

I ending up running the extra 4 miles on the middle wood way
23/02/2013 at 17:47
GBM - you will be surprised to know - I have yet another cold! I have the smallest but snottiest, germiest class I have ever taught!
24/02/2013 at 12:55
Longest run for ages-just short of 2 hours. It wasn't fast or mega long but we did it!
24/02/2013 at 18:16

M6s--Not bad with a cold!

XCers--Well done. It looked a bit nippy on the video i saw.
