not had one for a while but that's a RED CARD! for Plod
Edale's organiser has said that the race will be on so long as the road is open to get there - although there are extra kit requirements and they will be rigidly enforced.
PPP, OK, I'll be out no matter what. I may ride Sat instead, it depends on how the weather pans out.
So glad I'm not doing Wilmslow. 40mph gusts, 2 degrees. It won't be pleasant.
If I was doing skyline I would probably be wearing every bit of kit
Heck, not having much luck with half marathon's. 4V cancelled and WHM to be run in rubbish conditions, with a threat it also could be called off.
glad I did not train for skyline, roads to edale blocked so race off, bet there would have been some challenges finding the paths as well.
is wilmslow off?
Anyone know what the MWW is like, I need to run at least one more long run tomorrow, not even considering Longendale, at the end of our close, there's 4-5 inches of snow, so that'll be a challenge getting out, did the shopping at 10pm last night.
Snow? What snow?Zero snow around Manchester, just bloody windy. Did 17m and felt like crap all the way, so glad PPP couldn't make it. Not even sure what I'm training for at the moment as haven't got a race till June
J8-thanks-didn't know you were running today, if I could have got out, I would have joined you, don't fancy a long run tomorrow on MWW?
Edale Skyline cancelled:
I made M6 run to the gym with me today then do an hour of pilates and an hour of kettlercise before running home!! I don't think he will be talking to me tomorrow when he can't move!
Minnie - surprised he speaking to you today after that selection of classes. Hope mickey has better coordination than me for the gymnastic moves
Good luck to all racers tomorrow!
And good luck to all those doing a long run in the really cold weather tomorrow. I've just done mine!
Best of luck to anyone running or racing today. That wind is bracing to say the least.
