Sorry I couldn't do this morning but looking at Isaac's knee I am quite glad! I now have a fridge full of mars bars and chocolate as I intended to make mars bar cake for GBM!Double sorry, GBM!

Isaac that knee looked painful!  Planning on doing some runs from the house when all the marathons are out of the way.

Off to the Lakes for a couple of days to play in the snow packed ice axe and crampons Minnie a bit worried. (JMC will be away for Tuesday track).

FOAR / BB. Meeting poacher at track on Tuesday, going to have a pint and a chat about Boston

J8 - better go somewhere where everyone knows your name...
Er, cheers

PPP--I've got a feeling that Jonah8, FOAR and BB will do well in Boston. Actually, i've got more than a feeling!

Jonah - why go for a pint, go for a tea party instead! Looking forward already to hearing all about it, wish I could have been there. Get it done (successfully) and then let's look forward to two or three 30 mile reccies of Bullock with GBM and whoever else wishes to join us.

PPP- I'll drop some money off for you in the tuck shop, well done for a very worthy cause.

Eric - Did GBM tell you we bumped into JB on the MW last week, told him we would be back to full strength this year.

FOAR- Finished that book, hope them 3 hills aren't as bad as he makes out.

01/04/2013 at 21:07

J8 you have done snowdon, now that has hills in it that no other course can compete with

01/04/2013 at 21:45
TST very true and Windermere has quite a few tasty hills
01/04/2013 at 22:07

GBM - I hope everyone got your obscure Boston related joke and don't actually believe that I will do well..

J8 - At the track tomorrow. Amazed to hear that we are now allowed to serve alcohol though !

Poacher - Thanks for last night, really helpful information.

Just booked tickets for the Saturday, Boston Red Sox vs Tampa Bay Rays

Leg feels a little better today, looks like a proper taper( no running)

J8 - Can't make sat morning as I have the kids. Looks like I'll have to run lunchtime/early afternoon.

Virtual Lurker--Thanks for lurking around Middlewood station and for pulling me along for a couple of miles.

Lovely couple of days in the Lakes. Views were spectacular.

I would like to do Boston, always fancied a visit. But Chicago sounds flatter and has more Art galleries, so that would be a good one for me and the OH.

Poacher- how is it going?

what races/marathon/s are you doing?

I enjoyed your marathon talk interview a while back.

J8- I would love to go to a baseball game. Only because of Don Dilillo's "Underworld". Tampa Bay Rays? I thought that was a terrible name, but actually it is pretty good. If they win will it be Champers for the Tampa"s. If they lose If will put a Dampners on the Tampa"s. Of course, if they win but have an illustrious history though have suffered a poor run of recent results, it could be a "Kink in fortunes creates Waterloo Sunset for the Rays". Not sure if that actually makes any sense, but who cares?

One of the pleasures I have had in joining the gym recently, other than watching Susanna Reid in the mornings, is that I have actually seen WITGB on telly. Not only does he look in great shape and very, very healthy, but yesterday he seemed to be interviewing Helen Clitheroe! The sound is always down so it is hard to gather what is going on though.

RC - no problem struggling a bit with my leg so I would of only slowed you down. Best of luck at the VLM , it's been a pleasure training with you since before Christmas, thanks for the company. Go for it a sub 2.45 is there for the taking.

PPP. Chicago is next on the list, next October
