"So, i was sat in a puddle, surrounded by darkness, snow, fog, wind, i couldn't feel my hands and feet due to the cold, my calf was really sore, i was tired, cold and alone and i didn't know the way."

"it did cross my mind that if i got lost or went the wrong way then i could die."

GBM - great attempt at convincing people to take up fell running!

Some stonking PBs this week-end, NI's 10k time and JMC's marathon PB.  If you add those to the other PBs achieved at just about every distance this year then that makes impressive reading. By anyone's standards, you will have to be a top runner to beat these.

And then there is GBM's PB; at one point he was down to 3 poos per mile - surely no one will beat that?

Replacement parent to accompany my son when he wants to go running at 6AM due to a bizarre keenness to join Stockport Harriers

JMC- Well done! Did you get a running jacket?

Isaac- Thank you for the advice. It was better that way as I could skip through the music which was a bit dodgy

Daz- I will speak to Diane about Hit the trail as I am off that day but on the 27th I am working. Thank you for the info.

Is everyone going to be nice to me now I am 40? Even Seagull and Plod?!!!

Mort - no jacket but got a decent long sleeve running top. Quality medal as well.
02/12/2009 at 08:20
JMC- I turned up late to pick up my race number so they were running short on sizes, and I ended up with a small running jacket and an extra large long sleeve top which is handy when your weight fluctuates as much as mine does

Slightly obscured Florence running jacket!

It's got zipped pockets and vents and everything!!!!

Broker - Lollies will do fine. Dont forget to send a piccy of them to WITGB or get them to me so I can do it. If you can get Lucozade go for it. Looks like the Monster drink isnt gonna happen.

Sat 12th Dec - Goody Bag filling at the track 10:30 onwards. Or come down & do parkrun first.

02/12/2009 at 10:09
Seagull- You missed a good opportunity the other day to make a '13th most active member? Have they heard about your reputation with the ladies then?'  type comment to GBM.

Morticia- You see to be rambling on like some slightly eccentric OAP, why can that be i wonder?
02/12/2009 at 11:44

GET LOST PLOD!!!!!!!!!

Why don't you go and get on with your crayoning or whatever it is you do for a living?!!!!!!!!

02/12/2009 at 12:39
Morticia- the "Change" can manifest itself in a variety of ways, I understand. I wont take what you say literally but accept that what you are going through may have led you to become agitated. I expect some of the following symptoms may be familiar?

Trouble sleeping through the night (with or without night sweats)
Irregular periods; shorter, lighter periods; heavier periods, flooding; phantom periods, shorter cycles, longer cycles

Anxiety, feeling ill at ease
Feelings of dread, apprehension, doom
Difficulty concentrating, disorientation, mental confusion
Disturbing memory lapses
Incontinence, especially upon sneezing, laughing; urge incontinence
Itchy, crawly skin
Aching, sore joints, muscles and tendon
Increased tension in muscles
Breast tenderness
Headache change: increase or decrease
Gastrointestinal distress, indigestion, flatulence, gas pain, nausea
Sudden bouts of bloat
Exacerbation of existing conditions
Increase in allergies
Weight gain
Hair loss or thinning, head, pubic, or whole body; increase in facial hair
Dizziness, light-headedness, episodes of loss of balance
Changes in body odor
Electric shock sensation under the skin and in the head
Tingling in the extremities
Gum problems, increased bleeding
Burning tongue, burning roof of mouth, bad taste in mouth, change in breath odor
Changes in fingernails: softer, crack or break easier

I feel that I may have started a panic among several members of the thread.
02/12/2009 at 12:48
PPP - I suffer from virtually all of those symptoms whilst watching Stoclport County. Fortunately they just call all the games off now as a preventative measure.
02/12/2009 at 12:52
Thats how i feel after a run!
02/12/2009 at 13:06

GBM- including number " 9 "on the list?

Foxy- I can understand a spurs and united fans having something in common with number nine but not county.
