A useful tip in there: "If you are going to go into the snatch-and-run business at least try and get fit or at least play to your strengths and go for something less energetic."

I remember reading about a lady in her sixties or seventies, who chased and caught a couple of girls who'd stolen her handbag.

She'd been a champion sprinter in her youth

He was wearing running shoes - that's what I call prepared for every eventuality.  Rumour has it that the thief got as far as 300 yards only because the victim had to wait for his garmin to find satellites before giving chase.

Hahaha!  I'd have to set my Garmin looking for satellites 10 minutes before the thief showed up

I love this guys honesty

"I took the bait and picked up my laptop rather than catching him and beating him to a pulp, which in many ways would have been more satisfying."

The thief should have picked on a different mid 30s IT expert, could have guaranteed his escape!

My favourite line:  “I made a small donation at Milton Country Park to Cambridge Parkrun to help encourage youngsters to get fit. They seem to need all the help they can get.”

hahahahahaha!!!

Also brilliant, esp. when the thief asked her to stop following him, hahahahaha
