Just thought I'd announce that at 29 years old I flew my first ever kite on Sunday!

I had the most fun I have had in a long time!

Has anybody else taken such joy from such a little thing lol?

I've jumped on Amazon and bought my own kite, I know its sad but it's ace!

I bought a rather nice kite from kiteworld and have flown it a few times. Decided I had to spend a bit on one as the £4.99 for 3+ years invariably fooled me and I couldn't get the things off the ground

YES another kite enthusiast We could turn this into the Runnersworld Kite club. I have a feeling it may be just the 2 of us

Was it only me that read that as an euphemism for knocking one out? Oh Vicar!

Kites are beautiful! Where I come from we have kites at almost every festival or carnivale At ours the kites are smaller but good for you!

Shouldn't you have been working on Sunday, vicar?

27/06/2013 at 11:13

I only work from 8.30 till 11am Thats my lot for the week. So the other 6 1/2 days I fly kites

27/06/2013 at 11:55

Nothing wrong with kite flying and other pleasurable activities. I had a paddle in the sea the other day.

You played football with your nephew?

That's cruel. You should use a football instead.

You should try doing stand up Rickster. Seriously.

Warkie, thats the spirit

SR you're just getting jealous because you don't fly a kite or throw a ball!
