I had a works Christmas party in a pub on the banks of the River Severn a few years back. The river burst its banks, and the pub basement flooded, shorting the electricity. The company electrician had to get down there to sort it out for them! Luckily, it was the kind of pub where they had proper beer, pulled by hand....

Santa, name that Pub.

That was, I think, The Woodbridge, near Coalport.

Though I could be wrong. I was, as Rowley Birkin QC would say, very very drunk.

But if you're in the area you want to go to the Coalbrookdale in, surprisingly, Coalbrookdale, which is a fantastic pub for proper beer...

whispers <<thank goodness they've stopped singing, I don't have to show myself up now>>

I've got the staff dinner dance on Saturday night, THREE lunches next week, and Mr Nessie is taking me out for a birthday meal on Wednesday night. Plus, as it's my birthday on Friday, I have to bring cake type goodies in for everyone.

How does the Atkins thing work......???
