This is surely the best line-up for Top Gear, ever!

They are just a bunch of boys having a damn good time and doing what all of us would secretly want to do.  Brilliant TV.. and The Stig is a legend too.

Superb episode this week...

Just watched it, it was fantastic

Yeh cheers. The enemy wanted to watch some Cranford(?) so I missed it.

Missed the end cos the dvd had stopped recording and, typically, there doesn't appear to be a repeat this week.  Still enjoyed what I saw

Bloke at work went to see this weeks being recorded. If you want to run the track, get yourself down to Dunsfold 10K next year. Gambon is even more special running it.

So where did they finish in the race in the end then?

They came 3rd in their Class (of 5) and I think about 39th overall..

The Stig is an awesome driver...

Ta DV, don't think I missed much then cos they'd just said something about those positions when the recording ground to a halt.

Bunch of overgrown schoolboys and their toys, scripted to hell, pure nonsense - excellent TV!

i totaly agree corinthian

it is sooo scripted
the way they laugh at the jokes, i can't believe anyone thinks that the jokes are off the cuff

although i have to say i enjoyed their africa trip far mnore than those other two tossers on motorbikes
not that, in either case i had any fears for their personal safety, or worries that they wouldnot achieve - but the top gear team were nicer to the people they met along the way i thought

The doors made me almost cry laughing

I still think the best thing is 'Star in a Reasonably-Priced Car'.  Loved it when Jodie Kidd did so well; interviewing her, Clarkson's eyes were nearly popping out of his head....

It was touching to see Clarkson brush away a tear as he completed the endurance race...

Don't forget that there are constant reruns on Dave TV (ch 19 Freeview).

I'm not a great fan but did enjoy the (rpt) episode tonight, when Clarkson raced the FLM course at rush hour in a little Fiat, against a 2:20 marathoner. The runner won by 10 minutes!

I love this program, I think those 3 are a brilliant mix of characters, it works very well. And the Stig of course is awesome.

But I'd watch it anyway just for the Hamster, he's so gawjus.

That race against the marathon runner reminds me of something we tried at our club - a relay team of 6 good runners took on our best marathoner over the 26.2 miles - and the single runner won!

He's a 2:12 marathoner. The relay runners finished in 2:18

This channel is permanently on in our house.  Love the boys.  Never have a trio of men been paid so much to prat around with cars, like they were kids.  I've noticed the format has become a lot more adventurous and almost silly since the Hamster has joined.  Isn't he the one with the art degree?  See?, just needed someone with a bit of imagination to join them..  Yes it is heavily scripted, but the script is so funny!  I can hear my kids howling - yes howling - with laughter when they watch it.
