The end is nigh or something like that.

Out of interest, how long have there been "stickies" threads on the other sections?

12/11/2013 at 14:39

We're all doomed

So has RW shut down TW in fear of potential legal action from Candy?  Or has Candy just said shit again?

Ah but i'd left by then, so I don't know what you all can still see

Right the triathalon forum is still active, their web developers have been  a bit stupid though.

If you did want to see it, and are slightly technically minded here is what you do.

Firefox users ......... install Firebug (add-ons), hit F12 (or open it up), do a search for 'container2'.

Then when it finds it, on the right hand side you should see a bunch of styles. One of them is 'overflow:hidden'

Click on it, to turn it off ........ you will now see the forum.

Chrome Users

Hit F12 - You should see a little console appear underneath the webpage.

Hit CTRL-F .... and search for 'container2'

now click on the that has container2......... on the right hand side you will see some styles.

Uncheck the box that says 'overflow:hidden'

You will now see the forum.

Mr I - that works until I try and load a different page and it goes again!

Nothing else for it - I'm going to have to go and do some training!!

12/11/2013 at 15:55

Unfortunately Rafiki - Because the style is used on every page, you kind of have to keep doing it, so yep not a long term solution. But if you repeated the process for once youve clicked on the link you would be able to see the resulting thread.

Of course as a longer term thread, if you had 'Greasemonkey' installed you could pop in a line of code so that its always visible and you dont have to keep doing that, will make a note of what you need to do tonight if its still an issue, but at the mo Im swamped with work so dont really have time to go into it.

Is this why you never train?  Because you're smart enough to find a way to 'stay connected' no matter what?!
