On the FLM Forum there is a thread already started by those who have not got into the FLM but are comming to support the URWFRC.

Give them your support.

Do the runners get to post requests (sweets, bananas, lager, whatever) that the fantastic supporters can bring with them for the last half?

no guarantees that requests will be granted but you can always try, banana cake and jelly babies have already been mentioned.

I'll be there! Waving in a calm and relaxed fashion, mourning the fact I won't be running! ah well... Maybe in four years time!

Already stated that I will be there with my eldest son giving a big cheer to all URWFRC members and dishing out the jelly bellies (which he is realy looking forward to).

Chistopher (our youngest member at 7) will be running in the 1.5 mile fun run at Paddock Wood (subject to Foxy) he will be wearing his URWFRC kit so all the forumites can give him a huge cheer.

Christopher
what are you doing awake at this time of night. Get yourself to bed so you can get up early so you can chase your dad round on your bike when he only wants to go out and stroll round the streets in his URWFRC kit to look impressive. Your mission in life is to get dad out their pounding the streets to prepare himself for his next run.

Go for it on his behalf and lots more medals to come I hope

Oh god one night down the pub carbo loading and my sentences expand to enormous proportions, sorry christopher but dad will explain.

I'm going to be at the FLM throwing stones at the people that got places when I didn't (But I'm not bitter!)

Hi Jim.
Glad to say he has finally gone to bed and I have my computer back (and name).

I would run on Saturday mornings, but it is his fault that i dont as I have to take him and his brother swimming.

Weekdays in the mornings I have to take them to school so unless I get up before I go to bed and complete the run by 5am(when the wife gets up for work its unfortunatly out of the question.

However, the kids playing up at home early evening does help in the desire to take a long run on the way home from work in the hope that the kids will be in bed when I get home.
