I wanted to be a pilot flying something like the Milennium Falcon but ended up being Darth Vader's daughter. Life sucks sometimes.
When i was very young I wanted to be a Channel swimmer.
When I was older I wanted to be a vet.
I now have nothing to do with animals but work in the health care industry. I will be swimming the Channel in July
when I was a kid I just wanted to be a kid!

I've been a technician, a scientist, a technologist (whatever that is) and an engineer. But basically doing the same job.
The engineer bit makes me laugh. What do I know about engineering?
I suppose as soon as you tell people you're an Engineer, they assume you fix a washing machine really.
As I child I wanted to be a farmer (despite us not owning any land).
I ended up as a food factory worker, chicken farm worker, and call centre operative and am now a law student.

i wanted to be a pilot, started lessons when i was in the air cadets as a teenager, even got so far as being an instructor in gliders, but ended up being a soldier on thr ground, and now graphic designer/videographer
not much contrast eh o.O
Aged 8/9 I wanted to be Prime Minister during the week and a pop star at weekends! I ended up neither (academic researcher, which is never something I planned to be)
