What did you want to be as a kid when you grew up?

And are you doing something completely different now?

Someone asked me today in work if I ever imagined myself doing what I am today... and no is the answer. It's not even a job that most people know exist and it's certainly a far cry from my career as was.

You?

So I guess the third part of the question is, are you doing something that is very different from what you originally trained for?

Good answer, but rather insulting to my genes.

KK - I also used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure.
I always wanted to be a fireman but don't like heights. I still took the test and they made me climb a ladder, loop my leg through one of the rungs and throw myself backwards. Tttpppphhhhh (that's a pretend fart if you're unsure). I am now a quality assurance engineer zzzzzzz

If my husband said that, he'd be doing it wrong!

I wanted to be a nurse or doctor but ended up in IT as a mistake...

I wanted to be a nurse or a teacher, quite boringly, I got to be both. Nursing and teaching nursing!

I suppose if I was born in another time, I may have gone for carpentry - I love the smell of freshly sawn wood and love creating things. I also love making clothes and the smell of new cloth,

When I say "quite boringly" I don't mean I was bored with the job(s), I have enjoyed my career.

To end up as an audio describer though is rather more interesting I suppose.

I wanted to be a vet and I am not one No one to blame but myself BUT I have two wonderful children that I would not change for anything. Once they grow up I will study and get there

When I was a kid I wanted to be either Han Solo, Indiana Jones or the worlds greatest footballer.

I'm none of those things.
