Has anyone measured the real distance of Regent's Park running track? I heard it's not really 400m...

About 385m I believe.

Got this answer when I posted a question on the Serpies message board.

Thanks for the replies folks - I'm (kind of) sticking to the Runner's World intermediate 5K schedule in preparation for the Flora Light in a couple of weeks and today's task was 10 min followed by a measured mile (hence the Regent's Park track question) followed by a further 10 min. Knackered now!

Erm... dumb question... but what is material is the track made of? (I go running here late at night when it's dark so I'm not 100% certain).
