I've actually bought some Snowballs.... Why oh why do we buy drinks at Christmas that we wouldn't touch at any other time of year?

I was going to say that at least you'd feel better than everyone else in the morning.... but maybe not!

So, mulled wine (as I'm planning to do it tomorrow night for the neighbours)

Wine (got that bit)
Spices (got a blend of those)
Brandy
Sugar?
Orange slices?

Is that basically it?

Red wine, champagne, whisky, port, local bottled beers.

Brandy and coke always reminds me of Christmas because I used to drink my mum's when I was little

I made a really hot Bloody Mary (which I normally love); but have ditched it for a beer.

An absolute right for me on Christmas day is to have a glass of bubbly the minute I start cooking. Which is probably in reality, no later than 11am.

Very dry champagne (no headache)

A selection of red, white and rose wines.

Brandy (need it to flame the Christmas pud!)

I start Christmas day with a bowl of porridge and Jameson's stirred into it.

It's a form of endurance training, start as you mean to go on - or until you can't stand...
