THe other way they make their moeny is from advertising ... advertisers do something called 'pay-per-click' where they will pay somehting like 0.02p for every visit a page containing their advert gets (not sure on actual figures but its something like that) ... doesn't sound much but it soon mounts up when you think of the millions and millions of potential page visits there are out there .... so by flooding with spam and getting their sites to the top of the ranking lists, even a click from a slightly curious on-looker can generate cash !

So don't!

It's not necessarily due to us lot clicking on the links, most of us probably don't; the prevalence of their links accross the interweb (having been spammed accross MANY forums, not just this one), means that their sites will be driven to the top of search engine lists, thus making them more likely for people who ARE looking for a Gucci handbag, fake or otherwise, to visit their sites.

There's something about this typeface that makes "click" look like "dick"

at least on my screen

and the above quote then makes sense for most of the spam I get

SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAAAAAAAAAAAM, WONDERFUL SPAM!

Had to be done. Good old Monty Python. Lol.

Ps: I agree though. Spammers should have their nuts cut off with a rusty razor and be forced to eat them whilst bleach is tipped over their heads.
