Why does it always cloud over

whenever I have a BBQ

My theory is that everyone lights their BBQ at lunch time and all the heat etc goes up into the atmosphere making big clouds which then accumulate to block the sun while you have dinner and then all blow away when you finish...

Is there any truth in this, or am I just overcooking everything?

I think you will find that this is because of the excessive water content of meat nowadays. This all vaporises, leading to the aforementioned cloud, which eventually disperses. On a warm summer's day go up high with a pair of binoculars, and you will see thousands of little cloudlets hovering over gardens with BBQs; elsewhere it is still a nice warm, clear day.

The same holds for washing that you hang out; paddling pools, etc.

I knew that there was a sensible answer.

Of course if we all stuck to real meat from proper butchers rather than buying from supermarkets who inject meat with flavourings preservatives, colourings etc I am sure there would be much smaller clouds.

Yes, I am thinking of a research paper on the topic.
