This thread's out of date now - and as at least 3 of us are doing the Yorkie, and Woody might be joining us for the recce run, it makes more sense to chat on there. Of course you're very welcome to come over with us Brian - it's not JUST for Yorkies you know .

Hope you're feeling refreshed after your hols. I was till 4 days back at work!

I'm signing out of this thread now, so see you all on the Yorkie thread hopefully

New home for exiled Freckies

Just got the new RW through in the post.... I can't believe there's no review of Frecky '09!!! They did, however, manage to get out to Lanzarote on the same date to review a race there. Funny that!

Ooooooooooooooooh I'm upset!!!!

Not even a mention of it being Ron Hill's last half. Sigh.

Hello to all Frecky people though, it's been a while since I've been on here so hope you are all well! xx

Hello, Bunches. How's your running going? As you'll see from the above, the hardcore Freckleton fans have moved over to the 'Yorkshireman Off-road Marathon' thread. The link's in the post at the top of this page. It's pretty much the same style of chat, with occasional mention of running: pop across and say hello

Hello! I'm well thanks, still running most days with a longer 10-12 miler at the weekend! Looking for another half to run soon so all the training has a goal, but not sure what to go for.

I was tempted by the Welsh 'race the train' half, but it's very hilly and I don't think my crunchy old knees could take it!!

Everyone else well? I'll head over to the other thread now and say hello there too!!

According to poorly feet, a while back, this thread is out of date.

However, there is still room to say HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone, AND.....................

I do want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who voted for the Freckleton Half Marathon and rated it so highly.

I've just received the latest edition of RW magazine and you have rated Freckleton as the 15th best race in the UK, (8th best Half marathon).

To say I'm pleased will be an understatement. I'm writing this from OVER THE MOON

Thank you so much. I am very, very grateful to you all.

I hope you'll come along in June for another party
