Thanks all for a great turnout depsite the inclement weather, we had 550 entries for the 10K - an excellent field. Plus another 121 for the 5K.

For once my (dry) position in the dark results dungeon was the most envied place of the day and I was probably the only one to end the day without webbed feet!

Just proves that runners are mad!

 See you all next year....

Top race - thanks Aldridge   Urrg but who ordered the weather ??.  Very pleased with my 69 mins something on a hilly course

PH - just shows how fit you are now!!!

Moggie - please pass on thanks to your crew out there today.   It can't have been much fun standing around in all that rain - it was cold enough running in it!!!   Infact, I don't think I got warm at any point in the run - bit different from last year when I nearly overheated!!

Here's to next year!

I ordered sunny weather and no hills - seems I got only one wish...

The results are posted on the Aldridge website here http://www.aldridgerunningclub.co.uk/arc10k.htm

It just wasn't my day today and I had a bad run and my slowest time ever for a 10K  but the organisation was excellent and the encouragement from the marshalls first class.

Thanks to all Marshalls and organisers

My first 10K and got round in just over 56 mintues so very pleased

Hippo - I thought the same! I must have built it up in my mind to be really hilly, and then was pleasantly suprprised! - unless someone flattened out the hills. Mile 6 was a bit tricky though.

well done everyone

This was my first race and I was terrified, everyone else looked like professional athletes but once we got going I absolutely loved it and am really pleased with my 53 mins although I thought I was going to die on that never ending climb at the end.

Anyway, thank you to all involved in the organising and the marshalls who definitely also deserve a trophy and I am now looking for another race and hope to be back next year! Cheers!

Thanks to the members of Aldridge RC for making me feel at home. My photo's are starting to appear on line at www.dk10k.co.uk

If there is a 5K runner out there who does not appear in the results please let me know. I found two un-identified runners today, but one remains!

Brian,

I think you gave us a link to DK rather than the ARC photos?

Great ARC photos by the way - really capture the "atmosphere" (wet) of the day!
