Coming along for the party?

love the sound of this - my friend had her 40th party there last year - beautiful scenery.  It does sound a little flatter than the new forest marathon which is closer to home but hilly!!! can't decide which one to do now...

Hi all,

Does anyone know the latest point I could enter this race? I have just started my marathon training again after a nasty back injury and am looking for this to be first marathon back. Does it fill up quick? Or could I still apply in two months time (July-August) and still get a space?

 Thanks

Mike

Hi Mike,

You should be ok up until the end of August.  If numbers look to be filling I'll pop a note on the thread to give you a heads up.

I've popped this in my calendar HC - I'll hold off entry to see how my July and August marathons go, then this might fit in perfectly a week before I do a lumpier Farnham Pilgrims .

Kipper, what marathon are you doing in July, I'm struggling to find any? See you in Farnham though.

Not a popular marathoning month Kate - I think all the events below are full, but you could still fire an email off requesting a late entry......I squeezed into 3rd July event. Good Luck!

Enjoyed the 10 mile earlier this year so coming back for this one. Stunning location and easy to get to from London. See you there!

Is it an accurately measured 26.2 miles?

Also, does anybody know if the water stations serve water in cups or bottles?

It's trail MrMo so not certified but definitely 26.2 (and maybe a few metres change).

The water stations are all cups, we can't afford the litter caused by bottles as most of the course is on SSSI.

If you are planning to do the half distance we only have 45 places left.

I have entered

Now I had better to do some training, or it wil be a walk in a wineyard.

A nice walk in the vineyard and around the countryside, tasting the denbies wine every other mile could be better than running it! There are a few walkers for this event....

I intend giving the running a go.
Although the usual curse got me, entered the race then got some insect bites on legs and feet that have now decided to go manky, so no training until the weekend.

I am doing the full, whats the score with fancy dress? do most people wear it? have done the medoc in the past, and nearly the whole field were in fancy dress, was an amazing sight. Have a friend who wants to run the half, are there places available on the day?
thanks

The majority dressed up last year.  There are entries on the day, however it is unlikely entries on the day will receive the technical tee shirt.

Registration opens at 9am and joining instruction can be found on the website at www.eventstolive.co.uk.

Hopefully the weather will be a lot better than yesterday.
