Depends upon your budget - there is an official hotel on the Marathon website - The main thing is to be on a Metro line that goes to the start.or be in walking distance Hotels.com and bookings.com always offers a wide choice- I have gone for cheap and cheerful for 3 of us sharing a room two nights was €135 but I got the last en-suite triple at http://www.hostalalogar.com/
I have got a room near Sants station for £220 for 6 nights ( 2 people), great reviews apart from the rooms small but I am not bothered about that.

Im right on the Ramblas, reviews dont look to special but £195 for 3 people for 3 nights I dont care! dont think its to far from the start.
