Is this 'un a good 'un? Anyone?

I don“t know if it is a good race, but I received my number today. Have to improve my pb, hopefully by 6 - 7 minutes.
Does anyone know if it is hilly?

Am told by a friend who ran the race last year that it probably fits in the "undulating" category, certainly not flat!!

(That said, I'm seriously considering doing it anyway...!!)

Sorry can't help on info about the race.

I just popped in as I thought now that must be a run in Wales with a name like that! Obviously very wrong!!

Happy running!

Starts from outside the athletics track in Wimbledon Park, erm, about 130 miles east of Wales!

the 10 miles event in september-october is pretty hilly, i don't know this 10k

Boredrunner,
I just came back from the race and it is not undulating. It is HILLY. There is a big mountain just after km 1, and there are two loops so it comes again after km 6.

But is was nice, I got a pb and I am now officially a sub 50 runner.

sorry about that! though did say probably!!

'undulating' seems to be a codeword for 'expect hill' anyway in most people's experience (see Yeovilton 10k for example...)

Still, perfect conditions for it today and if you got a pb can't have been too bad!
05/05/2003 at 14:53
No it wasn't to bad. It was just a shock to see that hill. It was hiding behind a curve, which was already uphill. A friend told me not to overdo it on the first kilometer because of the hill and when I saw the early slope I thought it doesn't look to bad. But then little MountVonToux showed itself. The second time I walked a bit of it. I raced on Saturday so I couldn't reach my target time today anyway, and I just made sure to get under the 50 minutes.
On 25th of May there is another 10 k in Wimbledon which is supposed to be flat. I hope I can go for sub 46 there.

Well I run it today, my first ever run and with no preparation! Yes, there was a hill but I didn't think it was bad. I ran it in 65:56min and really enjoyed it so I will run again, this time with some training :)
