Anyone up for this? I ran it last year and OH is going to do it with me this year, so I will be propping up the rear of the field with her

I'm hoping to do this.  Any chance of a pb on this run?

This was a highlight of the year for me. Two laps of a mixed terrain course, with a tough up hill off road slog compensated for by a break neck pace down hill run on tarmac. The setting is fabulous, the atmosphere special, and the charity a very worthy cause. It was a privilige to take part and well worth the long drive from my home in north west Surrey. I have been injured for a large part of this year but have now had a couple of months injury free, and back in something like proper training. I hope to be able to make this one again this year and I'm hoping for a personal appearance from the famous Ron Hill's Alter Ego, not to mention Finknottle, assuming, of course that the newts are behaving themselves - What Ho!!  - RKR it's a cracking course but a heck of a challenge for a PB.

RKR - I managed a PB last year although I paid for it with a cold on Xmas Eve! Good setting, muddy underfoot on the uphill section but tarmac down again. The mulled wine makes it worth turning up for in any case!

I can't do the intelligent link thingy which takes you directly to the relevant page, but you'll find directions here. Good luck, http://www.ashburnham.org.uk/about/wheretofindus.shtml

Anya - head for Battle. I assume from your address that you'll be going via Johns Cross towards Battle. At the mini roundabout as you enter Battle turn right and keep on that road for about 3 miles. Ashburnham Place is on the right hand side.

Race Director

PS Liam - Ron will be there. I hear he's just returned from a little event in India www.ronhillsalterego.blogsapot.com for a race report
