bloody hell this looks a hot topic.

Was thinking of doing the Flyde half marathon at the end of this month - is there still places available & is it ok run?

I live in the NW but not familar with there - does it go into Blackpool?

Is this the moment we have all waited for?

A mindless idiot am i Ron? I shall re word that for you. I'm a runner whos entered your races and found all of them to be poor with numerous errors made, so i have every right to say so on here.

A family member of mine had her 2008 marathon ruined as it was well short, and it was only because of people nagging you on here for TWO YEARS  that you finally admitted it. You ignored ALL e-mails sent to you asking about this short marathon.

You make serious mistakes with the organisation, yet are the ONLY organiser that abuses their runners when they speak out, and yet you wonder why you are the most hated organiser in the uk. Look in the mirror, look at yourself and how you treat people, and you have your answer.

You used to use Bugsy to abuse runners, but since you were "outed" you've abused them on here yourself.

Steve Ashcroft is a very compitent race organiser andlike all of us over the years volunteers for you guys out there.  Off to the 19th.

Ron,

Volunteers do it for nowt. Your organisation of races through SRH Running Promotions must surely rule you out as a mere “volunteer”. The same probably applies to Stephen now that he has taken over your portfolio of events (RIP SRH?) with which you will obviously have nothing to do whatsoever. Who is it again that signs himself Race Office?

I like "Probably*

Is that the same as "Probably the Best Larger in the World"!

As in NOT True!

Thanks Soup for the upgrad but I'm not ready

I'll PROBABLY stay the same! Best 5k on 28th Nov

are you coming soup?

These Blackpool marathon threads are epic reading.

Loads of people with very small handfuls of posts, who only seem to post to abuse Blackpool marathons and the organiser, who only ever post on this topic.

An organiser who takes all the abuse to heart and fights back with hilariousl comments.

Loads of names, insults, in meaning comments. Pure INTRIGUE.

Just one thing I want to know....do all of you lot know each other, as there seems to be loads more behind this than a couple of Northern races!!

I'm off before I get some abuse from either side!!

yes it has I had entered and got my money back
11/10/2010 at 14:52

Can I just say I've been doing the Blackpool half for the past 5 years now and found it to be one of the best days of the year.

I also think it's very well organised and there are some people on here making rediculous trivial and petty comments who seriously need to get a life. It's a running event...get over it!

Hi Compo 1

I just heard that the Blackpool Marathon is cancelled and I have not been refunded, can anyone please let me know how I can do this, and who I need to contact, I would have assumed the organisers would contact me to make a refund if they were genuinely offering this.

Regards

EG
