Strange question I know, but does anyone have a spare sports bra? I took mine out my suitcase for my last training run in Bristol, washed all my gear and forgot to put it back in the suitcase and it's now far too late to go back to get it.

If not I'll just have to run in my normal one as the expo's closed and I can't get another one.

Maybe there is a 24 hr supermarket locally that does clothes etc. it's a long shot but you might get something.

Travel plans amended, thanks guys. I'd rather be too early than have a heart attack before I even start running! Good luck to you all tomorrow. X

As mad as it might sounds, boots seemed open later. They also had a sign in the window saying 'marathon essentials upstairs'. You never know??

Also wonder if sweatshop may open earlier in the morning?

Nice meeting you guys this evening.  Meal was tasty, though I preferred the look of the mixed grill.

Good luck to everyone tomorrow.  Hope it goes well for us all.

Some runners at travelodge lost electricity in rooms. Hotel are paying for taxi to nearest hotel with rooms in Worthing!!!!! To make things worse there not even paying for return trip!!!!! Best laid plans. Nightmare!!!!

OMG that sounds like a nightmare. How far is Worthing? Sounds a long way.

Hi Liz

Hi Liz I ran the eastbourne park run this morning

Well, plodded - brought the running group from freedom leisure and stuck with the least quickest on their first time! Were you with the 2 youngsters? They were very cheerful in both directions - gratitude from me.

Best of luck tomorrow from all of us at freedom.

PS. I am still wearing my earphones but tuck them in until I need them (probably around miles 20-22.. the renowned powerstation!)

Worthing is 20-30 min drive away, what a nightmare for people.

Snowmaiden - oooh noooo!

MarkD - oooh noooo!

Hope you both get sorted.  That's a real bummer from Travelodge if they not getting you back in the morning!  Can you not double up with other runners in the hotel.  I'm sure they would help you out in this crisis.

Matt - yes that was me and my kids! You might see them again tomorrow as they'll be supporting me then!
They both have swimming lessons at Hailsham too so we're at the leisure centre a lot! Hope you enjoyed the sun this morning. Good luck tomorrow!

Snowmaiden, may sound odd, but a friend told me she used a buff once when she forgot a sports bra... Worth a shot?
13/04/2013 at 21:52

MarkD - tomorrow morning there's a train from Worthing station to Brighton at 7.28am gets in at 8.00am.

Hope you all get it sorted.

Millsy: You are a life saver. Asda was still open and I managed to find a solution there. Thank you so much. The thought hadn't occured to me to think of Asda, I was thinking of all the running shops.

DTB: If I'm a moron again I'll try it.

GCE: Thanks for the suggestion but Boots was closed.

Supermarkets sell everything these days and are open 24 hrs so thought it was worth a try.
Have a good race tomorrow.

Ah, glad you found a solution!
