I did 2.12, but I'm hoping for better at Cardiff so I'm pleased to know it can be done! How did you do? Are you aiming for a specific time at Cardiff?
08/09/2009 at 15:09

Realistically Cato, it is a faster course, so some good training should see an improvement to at least 2:05/2:06.  No pressure lol.

I doubt I'll make any decision now until after club session on Thursday.

08/09/2009 at 15:17

Don't forget to let us know what you decide! I think I might throw caution to the wind and put my name in the hat for 1:59:55! Anything could happen!

Just count your blessings that I will not be pacing for sub 2 hours lol.

At Bristol did a 1.54, would like to do something faster at Cardiff, but my feet nearly fell off at Bristol, the blisters still hurt!

Perhaps if you did Daz I'd manage to hit my target - I'd be running scared! I always think..if only I could run as fast now as I did when I was being chased by geese as a kid...I'd be world class!

PinguPongo that's a great time, I'll be aiming to be down to that by next Bristol HM. Can I recommend Body Shop Peppermint foot cream for sore feet. It's really good and *ahhhhh* soothing!

08/09/2009 at 16:03

That's right SC - put the pressure on them, keep at it, they must work hard.

You'd better believe you'd be scared Cato lol.

I concur with the Peppermint foot cream, gosh I sound such a wuss now!

Tubstuff do a fantastic foot reviver with peppermint and tea tree, ideal for refreshing after that pb
08/09/2009 at 16:23

Eek! Ok it's written in stone now - thanks SC

I'm not so scared now I know you're a big girly wuss!

08/09/2009 at 16:30
'Tis true, I am a wuss, but not necessarily a big one!
08/09/2009 at 16:41

Hello Spike, I assumed it was you lol.  Usual rubbish here, not content with my running, feels like I'm getting worse.  Obviously just old age I guess.  Will see you there.  Did you do Cardiff 10K?

Thanks Daz! I reach my half century next month,I think you still have a long way to go!
Didn't do the 10K this year, stuck at work.Lucky really,I didn't have to suffer that warbling Jenkins woman!
Did you do it?

Does anybody else coat there feet in foot potion then wrap plastic carrier bags around their feet then carry on around the house as normal?

If nobody else does, I definitely don't

08/09/2009 at 19:03
It's just you then, PinguPongu (or maybe I'm just not pushing myself hard enough)

Spike, didn't realise you were so young dear boy. Perhaps we can amuse ourselves with some sentences using only directional signage as we jog around pulling those 1.40 wallahs with us
08/09/2009 at 21:15

Lol Spike, I still have a few years on you

Jenkins didnt sing, she actually ran it and did quite well.  I didnt do it, dose of cba, just went to support.

Stray
Given some of the things we say on The Crazy Sentencece thread don't always make sense,I shudder to think what our sign language would come out as!

Daz
Cba seems to have been my problem for the past couple of months.Think I'm over the worst now.
Must admit Miss Jenkins is lovely mind!
