Depends what sort of running you normally do I suppose but I wouldn't say its beyaond your average runner's ability.  Are you doing the 10K or the long one?  The challenge or the race?

Fabulous race, as all the Lakeland trails are.

It's good, I have done it for the last two years, it's about 11.5 miles but it will take you about the time it takes to do a half marathon, hills are difficult at the beginning, it's very muddy, but enjoyable and the scenery is amazing. Challenge or race, they are on the same course so I guess no difference, although I wouldn't bother with the 10k personally

Fabuous fun events these.

Courses are as hard as you want them to be, with no shame in walking some sections if you are doing the challenge.

I've done more races than I care to remember and these are by far the friendliest and most fun of all. Good cameraderie, relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, and some good post run entertainment etc.

Plenty for race supporters to do too whilst you run.

dont go for a PB, but do throw yourself into the spirirt of it and get muddy!
