Chicago Marathon 2011 - Events

I couldn't find a thread anywhere for this so apologies if one exists and i'm missing it but jsut wanted to chat to some other runners planning on doing chicago. It will be my first having started running at Christmas (i like a challenge) and at the moment i'm aiming to get round before the bus comes to cart me off the course!

i must admit I'm tempted by Chicago but I've not yet plucked up the courage to enter and sort flights, hotels, etc

i think entry is closed throught the marathon itself now but they are still advertising charity places on a lot of websites. We're combining the marathon with our honeymoon that's pretty much the only reason my Fiance and i can afford it!

Running Boston in 13 days and Chicago in October. Only NYC left after that to round out the Marathon Majors...

very jealous EI22RE! I want to run New York at some point in my life, even if it's just a half or other race!

Hi Everyone

I'm all booked up for Chicago, hopefully to complete the majors, then on the Tuesday flying to New York to celebrate the running goal & a big birthday !!.....Can't wait.

Seems a bit quiet on this forum!?
I'm running Chicago this year, now fit again after injuries prevented me running Boston in April.
Would be good to hear any tips, info etc. ref Chicago. anyone?
Only a month to go now!!!
