I think I saw you at the start ITB (I had a Fetch vest on).  Negative split for me too

Please can someone tell me that they saw the camel in the field behind the llamas. After about 7 or 8 miles. Nobody else seems to have seen it and everyone in my running club thinks I've gone mad!!!
Which I suppose is entirely possible.......

Harry, I think you might be on the wrong thread, lol.

Sorry HD, I only saw the llamas/alpacas

Comment as a supporter at mile 5. The organisers needed more signs on surrounding roads saying that there was a race on. Some cars came up to the main road scarily fast. That bend in the road near mile 5 water station was a hazard and it was fortunate someone (man on the bike!) finally started to move the runners to the left of the road earlier onl.

Oh, negative split for me too.

There were a lot of 'roving' runners who couldn't decide what side to run on but there was also little guidance on this  (unless it was via the inaudible megaphone at the start)

Ok. Madness and ridicule it is then

HD Your not mad, yes there is a camel with the Alpacas/Llamas, a couple of donkeys too. There is a public right of way that runs along the side of the field which is on the Little Durnford Estate where you can get a closer look!

If I remember I might take a detour down there tomorrow and confirm the sighting.

Woohoo I'm not mad - yet........ Happy days
just off to eat some car tyres and bark at the moon now....

Not mad, in fact the owner goes out riding on the camel over the fields.

Can't remember if there was an official photographer for this race - can't say I spotted anyone ?

( ahem...not being more than usually narcissistic  - Need a recent pic for my Justgiving page.)

www.seemeinaction.com had a leaflet in with the race number.  I looked at their web site but there was no way of searching by race number or name so I couldn't be bothered to look for photos.
