tried to keep up with everyone via Fetch site, some good times it seems

I think paul a is  deliberately avoiding sub 3. Extra cockpit scrubbing duties for that man.

Sub 3 not on the agenda any more, only the 100 in my sights now.

You'll never do it in an hour and forty!

Even in an anorak

LOL....

Yes, sorry Paul.  Clashed with the south downs mara (Bo-Bo) and a long bike ride.  Next year I hope to be there running.  2011 will be my 5th ballot entry..!

The ballot rules have changed, hope you will have some kind of preserved rights.

I had an email because I'd got 2 rejections and by using a password was able to enter the ballot early as well as preserving my rights for a 5th rejection place

South Downs mara?  I thought that was June, are there 2?

But the priority ballot is still a ballot isn't it SB? Do you think there will be an effort to effectively clear the books and let those with the priority in?
29/04/2010 at 21:41
I think it is the same ballot just that we avoided the rush on Tuesday.  Essentially they are saying that as long as we keep entering we will get in at the 5th rejection if we don't get lucky before so I suppose it is clearing the books really.  Will stop them getting stick for simply stopping it.

Fair enough, you must have the preserved rights or it would be very unfair. One would think the ballot for those with priority would have better odds.

I'll cross my fingers then.  Although I enjoyed supporting I went home on the train feeling quite flat and wishing I had a crappy red t-shirt on

I have my crappy black and white scarf on at the moment

I'm in the "priority-password-only-baring-my-left-nipple-and-right-kneecap-to-Dave-Bedford" ballot.  5th time this application apparently.  So I will probably be running it in 2012 then!

Black and white.... Newcastle?  Guiness?  Night and day?

Fulham!

I gave up with the ballot after 3 or 4 rejections. Found the system too confusing, annoying and unfair. Well done for persevering, PSC.

the irony is the new version of the ballot is relatively straight forward.  I think it's good of them to offer it, but clearly VLM is going down the charity + elite route.  Club places are being cut, the 5 attempt ballot is going, etc etc.  Big shame!!

As long as they don't mess with the GFA I'm happy, in fact they have just made it easier.

Number 37 done today at North Dorset Villages.

I think they are wrong to do away with the 5 attempts. Other people might find all those questions about newspapers easier to answer than I did. Glad to hear the GFA is easier but I'm never going to do another marathon anyway.

<still wearing scarf>

Personally I thin London should encourage more club runners and restrict the number of charity places - but that is never going to happen. Equality over the GFA times would help, the ladies times are hardly challenging.
