Oh yes - I have entered this 3 times so far and have yet to run it due to clashes and illness. I am determined to have a running t-shirt with 'diet coke' written on it. Almost as ironic as one that a runner I know has which has 'MacDonald's and run' on the same t-shirt (Obviously quite an old one as I can't see them doing that these days without a severe slagging off).

I am from very near - Uddingston. My PB is 1 52 so all other times are now wiped from memory LOL. Not sure what to aim for as have just done FLM, will be doing (maybe ) Edinburgh in few weeks so not got my 'speed' legs on as it were. Prob just aim for under 2 and a fun along the way.

I'm the same from Bothewell, their are a couple of us on here from Uddingston and Bothwell...

I was planning on doing FLM next year how did you get a place..?

Believe it or not I got through on the ballot = 2 years in a row!!

If you are from Bothwell = do you run with a club? and, what time are you looking for? (this is where we find out we know one another )

I run with Motherwell AC, my time would be around 1.50....

I used to run with Hamilton Harriers and am now kind of unattached with occasional running with Esporta (where I spend a lot of time with my kids).

So is Motherwell Good - I am actively looking for a club that has some girlies in it - not that i am biased against blokes but generally all i see of them is the dust as they run away.

ALso looking for a club that has marathoners in it - would be nice to train with some company for a wee change.

What time did you do FLM ..? I was looking at around 4 hrs next year...

I am a big hal higdon fan and did a combo of his imtermediate 1 plan with the sub 4 RW plan. However I was ill for 5 weeks and then had to take another week off mid training for eye surgery. I still felt good for close to 4 as I have done 4 11 in the past - HOWEVER I had a disaster and ended up only just finishing in a lot of pain at 4 45. Def not my finest hour - heat and overcrowding did me in but I met a few folk along the way and just tried to enjoy it.

ha ha - I know what you mean. But am a bit stuck at the moment as i had a big molar extracted last week and have been suffering ever since. I guess I must just be a big wuss as doped to eyeballs on painkillers and antibiotics and feel awful. Troon tortoises 10K is tomorrow night - my all time favourite race so I am going to attempt to go round the block at lunchtime and just cross fingers I don't fall over.

I hope the schedule I sent didn't make you decide not to bother !!

Also, have emailed club saying you recommended them - hope that's okay.

Another Bothwellite here - also policies.
Am not in for EK as will be on hols, but will be doing our local half at Monklands on the 20th.... anyone else???

GA - you were not alone from Bothewell / Uddy at the FLM another regular round the circuit did it too. Her time 5:35.
