Day 14 was 6.3 miles in the rain - very tough!
Day 15 - not sure I can be arsed
Day 15 managed 8.03 miles and then decided to get out early this morning to get it out of the way - rather surprised with the 15.5 mile effort.
May push Noah around Parkrun in the morning for day 17.
Sou'wester and goggles maybe!
Oooh birthday boy! Many happy returns GE
Rained off for Parkrun but just sneaked in 6 miles for day 17.
Hoping for 10 miles on the moorland tomorrow
Cheers guys. Managed to get out for 13 miles yesterday morning in the wind and rain then things went downhill at Molineux in the afternoon. Not good. They announced over the PA that there was a 74 year old woman there who was watching Wolves for the first time. Bloody hell, it'll be another 74 years before she wants to go again.
Ha ha Goldeagle - It might be 74 years before you get another decent team to watch!
Not as bad as my day though. Blades lose 3-2 to a team with one win all season. As if that isn't bad enough their 2nd goal scorer is a blades fan. Worse still he's one of our mates. Worse still he comes out for a drink with us after the game - Surreal just doesn't cut it!
8.8 miles in lovely weather at last - Day 18 CHECK!
Really enjoyed my first experience of being a volunteer, lots of thank you's and happy new year's from the runners, nice to see the other side. While walking back with the last couple, and there 8 week old baby (Poppy) that the lady was carrying in a sling, we had a good chat, it turns out the lady was attending her 150th parkrun and was visiting friends in the area so chose Conkers, I found out later that the lady was Nicola Forwood who I'm told is quite well known in the parkrun world and co-presenter of "the parkrun show" podcast.
Never heard of her beavis but then again I don't listen to the Parkrun podcast.
Anyway, happy new year one and all. Good news is that despiote heavy drinking the streak is still intact!
Day 19 (NYE) was 8.84 miles to drop a key off at my brothers house before driving to Scotland for Hogmonay! After drinking a nice 18 year old whisky until 5am I was up at 10am for 6.2 miles along the River Clyde. This was followed by the traditional New Years 'dip' in the Clyde as well as more whisky.
Day 20 was another 6.2 miles and then another visit to the gym this morning for day 21 - Almost halfway there!
Thats true - 150 is a good effort!
Day 23 and 6.57 miles with the club - decent pace as well. Worried about Monday to be honest as I will be up late to watch the Seahwaks and will then have Noah all day before going to Cardiff on the train. Might struggle to fit something in
Hope everyone had a good Chrimbly & New Year.
Well done on the streaking Dave, I saw your picture on FB after your dip in the Clyde...Brrrrrr!!! springs to mind.
Got to put my game face on... Yep, that looks like my game face...or maybe this one... Anyhoo...it's 4 weeks until my 1st race and 5 weeks until my 1st HM...which just happens to be the hilliest one I've ever done and I haven't run any decent mileage since Las Vegas...oh and I've got that cough and I'm 8lb over my race weight
Dave I can't believe you haven't got a running buggy for Noah, that would solve your dilema.
Phil, it's not too late if you want me to take your place in the Goofy...you could still switch the flights and everything to me Am seriously jealous...you'll have so much fun, I can't wait to hear all about it at Edinburgh.
