340 entries in less than 24 hours. I know it fills fast, but at this rate it will be full in a week!

Just the 2nd one for me. Love those last 2 miles.

What makes this one stand out, guys and gals? I'm tempted as Sunday XC season is over by then.

For me it's a good incentive to keep myself in shape over the Xmas period. Otherwise I'd be tempted to take a break and start my training for a spring marathon after Nee Year and having to shift a bit of a beer gut.

Well it is a combination really...it's efficiently organised by a friendly club, run on a lovely route that takes  you gradually up to 11 miles with no real sensation of climbing, then you freewheel down the last 2 miles to a compact well supported finish area. In terms of effort, it's an 11 mile half marathon.

I'm in, did it last year (1st time) and loved it

The route is lovely after the first mile. Once off the main roads it's all country lanes, gradually climbing up to 11 miles (fantastic view). The only real noticeable climb for me was just after the water station at around 9-10 miles. It's a fast last 2 miles, all being downhill. The only downside is weather permitting. If it's bad you may not get all your training in, and the route can be icy in places - same as all winter training though!

Anyway, friendly people, friendly club, lovely marshalls, well organised. Are you tempted yet 7daughters?

Bit of a daft question but how do you enter?

I've been on the website and I can't see an online entry method - unless I'm missing something (which is entirely possible)

Is there a Fabian race logo somewhere ?
I admit it wasn't the most obvious way to enter.
