Has anyone done this event before?

Is it well organised, it seems very expensive.

Entries need to be in by the weekend and I'm tempted to do it.

Yes, I did it last year and had been planning on doing the ultra version this year.  It was definately one of my favourite races from last year.

It was the first year it was done last year - it had a great atmosphere, the marshalls were excellent and the course was beautful - although its an out and back which I never really like.  Definately a challenging trail marathon - muddy fields, stairs, sandy beaches, stoney beaches and at one stage due to the tide getting into the sea is required.  The comaraderie is lovely, plenty of water/fruit stations.  My OH is doing the half this year.  Im living in London at the moment but i feel its a race definately worth flying home for.

So, in short, highly recommended!

I'm injured at the minute but really fancy trying the ultra next year. Martin Lilley on the NI coasters site is doing the ultra, he may be able to help.
