Golden bond for marathon - Events

i just heard from Cancer research that I have not secured a place in the FLM 2008 but am on the waiting list as some successful golden bond applicants may well get through in the ballot. What's the likelihood of me getting a place being on their waiting list. Don't know whether to start some really serious training or not!! Any ideas?? thanks.

Start the training. You never know, you might get through the ballot AND you still have the possibility that if you don't make it someone else will.

Having failed the ballot three years running, I can tell you that there will be lots of charities offering places in the 'Sorry...' magazine, so unless you are desperate to run for Cancer, other opportunites will come up.
