Hi all,

I picked up a flyer at Snake Lane 10 for the Grand Yorkshire 10k later this year.

I'm building myself back up to racing after injury and might give this one a go-it's in June which gives me plenty of time to get back up to racing fitness!

Has anyone done this one before? What's the course like?

Hi Poppin,

It is a brand new race: part of the first Bridlington Festival of Running. The course is 'out and back' on closed roads. It is best described as 'gently undulating', with a gradual climb to the turn round point and a fast, flat finish along the promenade. Chip timed, and PBs are a definite possibility!

Other events at the Festival include Junior Athletes races, a Beach Race (with a unique format), a Fun Run and a 'Big Night Out' in Bridlington Spa (with talks from Tracey Morris and Tom Williams, a practical 'drills and stretches' session with Ali Rose and her team from Carnegie Sports  Physiotherapy Clinic, a live band, disco and late bar)

Lots more details here:
