I enjoyed Sunday my 4th 1/2 says 1:52:09 on the website but they never scanned me i went straight past them  I didnt stop my Garmin for about 5-10 seconds and that said 1:51:51.

Is it correct we will not get a chip time ? as they do have them on some of the other results ?

Anyway the hill was not as bad as i thought, loved the bit of drizzle for last few miles, excellent goody bag and t-shirt too.

I just got changed and on my way when the heavens opened, thank god !

Loz, i'm embarrased to admit i thought you were a woman! That pic of yours has some building to the right of your head that i thought was some kind of pony tail.

the half medal is quite tasty...had a little map of the route...a lot better than the 10k medal! And probably rightly so

The devil's been there for a number of years now. I've told my kids its the same guy who stalks the Tour de France, but they've begun to ask how he can be in France and Wycombe at the same time!

Did you note the Devil runs with number 666? I have met him before, Tony Barlow, very nice guy, runs a barber shop in Desborough Road. he generally runs as a sighted aid for a blind lady but she didn't seem to be there this time round.

running as 666, how gloriously offensive, and ironic that he does it for good!

666 - nice touch! Must go there for my racing haircut next time as a show of support!

Hats off to the guy, I was hot enough wearing my shorts & t-shirt so god knows how he found it. I do like the fact he got a matching race number!

it's that bandana keeping you too hot!

i can't ever run with something on my head..feels too clammy

I've been looking for something else but haven't found anything suitable. I can't stand it when my hair gets stuck to my face & you're aware how painful it is when sweat gets in your eye?!
19/07/2011 at 20:16
a swift brush of said sweat off face with hand does it for me!
19/07/2011 at 20:46
98% of my sweat comes from my head (probably down to my mop of hair), that would be a lot brushing away.

How close do you live to The Rye? Walking distance to race HQ?
19/07/2011 at 21:03
yep! that's why i hate to miss the wycombe events, as i'd still have to be around it.

Vaseline on your eyebrows - keeps the sweat off no problem! (you do need bushy eyebrows for this one though!)
