Come one, come all; everyone welcome on this year long build up to the GNR
Good luck Karl!
Thanks vixx, apparently its a good course for a pb, ill report back tomorrow
Nice one - go for it
Old shadow fax, good luck for today and enjoy the pub
vixx, have u got your race pack for next Sunday yet ? Mara starts at 9 and half starts at 9.30 so unless I'm super fast you will be on your own
would be great to catch up either before or after, are u staying locally ?
Oh no, I've broken the thread again !
Thanks Shrek- I had a great run as the cooler weather today suits me. It was a bit drizzly at the end of my 10 mile leg but I soon dried out in the pub where I celebrated knocking 4 mins off my PB although being a trail run, these things are difficult to compare.
Well done on the pb, OS.
3.5 speedy miles for me on Friday night after work, and then another half a mile cool down carrying a bottle of white wine home
10.5 miles yesterday in the sunshine which was extremely enjoyable, but I wish I'd worn a vest as it was a lot warmer than it first appeared.
Wow! Nice running Shielsy!
Well done on the PB OS - you'll be killing it at TR24!
Shielsy - I saw someone yesterday afternoon running in jogging trousers and a sweatshirt. I think they really misjudged the weather.
Maybe they were trying to sweat off weight?
How are you Fiona?
Morning everyone - back after weekend at Lumley Castle for wedding of OH's niece. Good to be at wedding but was not impressed with Lumley Castle - I have stayed at far better hotels for alot less money. Not bothered with cost if it had been worth it but service and rooms were not up to price charged.
Back into running seriously this week - I knew I was unfit when I got tired dancing the night away.
Maybe it's just the way you were dancing?
You mean the Daddy dancing bit - believe you me my 2 20 year olds would not let me on dance floor if i did that
Good afternoon, everypeople.
Some great running going on.Many congratulations on the big PB, OS
I failed to bag my third sub-45 10k of the year, at Bamburgh yesterday. Slightly disappointed with 45:17, but it was hot and I finished 32nd in a field of 173, so that helped. Lovely day too, so a warm down stroll on the beach proved the perfect way to cap the morning
Well done XL! You weren't far over and yesterday was warm from what I understand (it wasn't here), so just think what you'll achieve next time if you can be that close in unsuitable conditions!
Well done XL
Well done XL.
Bear - nothing worse than paying a lot for a hotel and it not being worth it. Did your niece have a good day tho'?
Vixx - sorry never got back online earlier. I am fine, another 15 miles on the elliptical trainer done!
Blimey Fiona! That's a lot of elliptical mileage - how are you finding that? Beneficial?
