How come there's no horse jumps this year? I'll never forget being thrown head first over one particular one because they (who shall remain nameless!!) felt I needed a hand. What'll happen at the camouflage nets I dread to think. I just hope I don't get stuck. The shame!!

Getting tempted to join in with this one..especially if its a big forum event. Have looked at the web though, and all of last years finishers seems to be pretty fast!

I guess will also depend if i fancy coughing up for some off road running shoes i'm happy to wreck..lol

Tinks - myself and the evil pixie trotted round together last year and were pretty much last, but didn't care!

Will be happy to keep you company if you want to do it

re Shoes - they usually have the Nike Bowerman Vans there, so you can borrow their shoes for the race

Tinks - for most of us, this wont be fast. More like plodding around and trying not to get pushed into puddles by your 'mates' followed by a liquid lunch.

lol Gavo. Just took a look at the race photos from last year, and everyone seems to be laughing running through the puddle, which has to be a good thing!

Oh yes gavo, surely thats the whole reason for doing it, the deep joy that is had from accidently tripping up your pals and seeing them fall face first into wet, sloppy mud must be enormous....or is that just me?

Tinks maybe you should join in, i've never done this and am only doing it for what should be the hilarity of crawling through mud, wading into cold december water for 8 miles.....er...er...oh shit!
