bison, that was the dissapointing bit - no mud, it was too sandy and every time you git a smidgy bit muddy - you went through a puddle!!

2003 was much worse with the wadding through the bog (where the cattle where this year)
I guess Dec could be worse

having done this event back in 2003 I soon saw it for what it is - a big money spinning venture and an oppourtunity to push nike down peoples throats.
Very poor organisation and a over inflated entry fee so that certain types feel they have completed an "off road " event.
Give it a wide berth and support smaller local events instead - the fact Grim are s now putting on 2 events a year says it all !!!
Fair point ???

no Peter I don't agree
Ok so 2003 had a few problems with organisation but last year was fine
the tea is of good quality so you don't mind paying a bit more
the course is off road and challenging - Ok to varing degrees depending on fitness levels
but hey we are all entitled to our opions

Right, form will be sent off at lunch time - have been wanting to do this but it's clashed with stuff for the last 2 years. As long as we don't have the xmas forumite frolic on the same day.
Mud, glorious mud.....

gavo - this would actually make a good forum Xmas frolic if there is a pub nearby that can accomodate a load of filthy runners...........
and.........if you are doing Grim, why the hell are you wimping out of TG??? or are you changing your mind slowly??

Not wimping out, merely sticking to my stubborn principles. In the diary for 06 though. 3006.

Could well be up for this.
Depends how quickly it fills up (won't pay just yet) and whether I can find a B&B nearby.

Right, well I'm in an aggressive mood today, so while it lasts, I'm going to say I'm up for this too!
