What a day
I was down to do it. Had an attack of "lurgy" a day or so before, turned up anyway. jogged for a minute to warm up, hacked up half a lung and decided discretion was the better part of valour.
And i'm still gutted i didn't do it, despite my chesty cough being worse than it was before.
Mrs D. nearly divorced me when she found out that she'd missed out on 20 choccie bars. Next time Fawkes, next time!
I braved it too! And likewise was absolutely soaked by the time it started. Had to wring out the sleeves on my top several times on the way round. Birstwith Brute is a killer, but I managed to run up it this year (probably slowed than I walked it last year but even so...). Have you warmed up yet? I think I have... just...
Bad luck Mr Darcy. I hope your lurgy gets better soon. Sensible decision especially in this weather.
I enjoyed this one again . . pootled round just in front of the back with a couple of friends and laughed all the way round
got a personal worst by a long way of 5 seconds over 2 hours!! and enjoyed lunch afterwards in the Old Bore
sorry you couldn't manage it, Mr D but I do think you made the right choice!
can't believe anyone ran all the way up t'Brute, Dippycat, fantastic!!
was just scrolling down and was going to ask that?
i noticed on last mile coming off the off road bit there was someone taking photos which was of everyone when I was passing
As asked any websites where these might be?
