I thought I'd start a thread on this since it's my local event

A nice town/rural 10-miler with chip-timing. Here's the info page including online TV coverage of last year's event.

I'll be there, not a local lass but got family nearby.

Any tips as I've not done this one before? Just ran the New Forest 10 so Harlow has a lot to live up to!

I ran it 2008 and it was 'hot!!!!!!!!!'

Can't remember anything bad (which is a good thing!), though I was very annoyed because my Garmin wouldn't stop, so its a bit tarnished for me. Thinking of doing it again this year assuming I can enter on the day. Not that many 10milers around at the mo it seems.

If memory serves its a little undulating at the start.

Looking at the website there's not many registered yet. Hopefully a few more slowbee's are among them - it's always nice to have company when the rest of you disappear over the horizon!

the online entry should now still be up and running from runners world web site, just type in harlow on the event search page and follow the online registration.

I haven't received anything in the post from Harlow 10 and can't get an email or phone number from their website. Do we just turn up on the day?

You collect numbers and chips on the day - or so the web site says. Course is 'gently undulating' - according to the web site, can't confirm as I've never run it before.

Numbers and Timing Chips

– these can be collected on the day from Race HQ

from 7.30am onwards. They will be available in the Main Hall at desks arranged

alphabetically by Last Name. Please collect yours by 9.15am to allow time to attach

them and to get to the Start.

Please bring a pen to complete the medical information section on the back of your

number. Also please bring some safety pins.
