ChrissiePud, in my experience it's a well-organised, well marshalled and well supported event, especially for a fairly small race. The first time I did it I had really bad chafing (too much info I know) and was in a lot of pain but got a lot of support from the marshalls in the last stretch. There's a good sense of camaraderie between the runners as well and you'd be surprised how many locals in the villages come out to cheer us on. Only downside is you pass a couple of pubs with beer gardens and I have to admit I've been tempted to stop for a pint..
